Assistant Field Service Technician

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Assistant Field Service Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our clients by performing maintenance, repairs, and installations of various systems and equipment. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and customer service skills, ensuring that all work is completed efficiently and to the highest standards.

Responsibilities

• Master product information/application knowledge through training and personal efforts
• Assist with installing customer equipment, performing scheduled UPS and battery preventative and corrective maintenance.
• Follow procedures you learn during your training, as well as published task plans, to test equipment and to diagnose and resolve technical problems
• Complete required job documentation in a timely and accurate fashion
• Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding their needs and the status of their equipment.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of service requests.
• Adhere to safety protocols and company policies while working on-site.

Requirements

• A positive attitude and willingness to learn
• Strong mechanical / technical aptitude preferred
• Ability to read electrical and mechanical manuals and schematics preferred
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to drive in urban areas
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• Familiarity with MS Office product suite preferred
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check
• Some off-hours/ weekend work required
